bad news everyone

So my computer has died. Dead dead dead. I'm typing this from my mother's iPad which I probably won't be able to use again because she really doesn't like sharing. What does this all mean? It means I'm screwed. My whole life is on that thing. I can only hope that the computer guy can recover my files. Wish me luck. I'll do my best to check in whil I'm at school, but as you can understand, it's gonna be tricky. Honestly, I'm just so devastated right now, I can't even begin to describe it. And mum's hovering over my shoulder yelling at me to get off. Fuck. Hopefully I'll see you guys soon. Love you all! xx

It totally does feel like a loss. It's like someone died or something. I actually have another hard drive that I've saved for that exact reason. Apparently the problem was a faulty hard drive so they're going to replace it for me. I think it's costing around $240, so it's cheaper than getting a new one I guess. Ugh, I hate this! And I hate typing on my mums iPad, it just doesn't feel right!

$240 is way better than a price of a new one. x.x WAY BETTER. (Not that I would have it either way. I'd be so fucked if my computer died on me, omg. At least when the old one kicked it, we already had this one. x.x)

=\ But I mean, yeah, still sucks. That's all your hard work in both saving stuff and creating stuff you lost. =) But maybe the new one will be better? (one can only hope, yes?)

Ugh I just keep thinking about how my whole life is on there... It's silly but I've actually cried about it a bit. No one else in my family seems to get it! And on top of all that, I've lost my credit card... It feels like everything is just going wrong for me this week.

Sorry for whining, I just had to get that out!

I hope so! They've been really nice and helpful, so I'm just crossing my fingers that it all works out.

LOL, fortunately, no. I just told her that I really needed to get some work done (which is true) and I guess she felt bad so she said yes, thanks god!

Oh girly, if it had been me, I would've cried a LOT. And broken my hand punching the bathroom tiles (my own outlet for anger issues, which are few and far between). Because seriously, it is like losing a part of your life. With my old computer, I had been keeping a journal, and it chronicled my thoughts and feels when my grandmother had passed. It was very important to me to have that record and now... *thinks about harddrive* Sigh.

But yeah, this computer I've invested more time in. Including lugging home thrown out modems for parts to help this one running (I've learned a lot about computers on the bright side). Not only that, I have documents that, while I've backed up most of the old ones concerning my various mangas/original fics, I still have a lot of recent stuff that hasn't been backed up. Oh my god, just thinking about losing all that makes me fidgety. xDD

=\ I hope you only misplaced your credit card. Good luck finding it!

I GOT MY COMPUTER BACK AND I LOST NOTHING. Literally NOTHING. All my programs are still there, my stories, my photos, my games. And on top of that I got a new hard drive with 500GB of space which is like 200GB more than what I had originally! SCORE!!

And I couldn't find my card, but I did go to the bank and get the card cancelled. They're sending me a new one next week.
