365 photos - week two (+ my eyes!)

Things you will learn about me from this photo set:
+ I wear Chanel
+ I have very red hair
+ I very quickly ran out of things to photograph this week
+ I spend a lot of time in my backyard
+ my eyes are a really weird colour
I would just like to apologise in advance, because more than half of these photos are taken in my backyard. I would forget to take a photo until the last moment or I would just be chilling in the backyard and think "God, I'm too lazy to go find another thing to photography, let's snap a random shot of the backyard and be done with it!"
DAY EIGHT - a very noisy picture (apologies, I didn't realise how much noise there was!) of a storm rolling in:

DAY NINE - an old broken lantern in my backyard:

DAY TEN - Pudding being adorable and sleepy:

DAY ELEVEN - a plant growing at the top of the garden wall:

DAY TWELVE - a bottle of my perfume which I have just noticed has started to rust:

DAY THIRTEEN - a picture of my messy hair (yes, this is the point where I started running out of subjects):

DAY FOURTEEN - a rickety old bench that no one sits on because it'd probably collapse. also, a plant:

Got out of the shower the other day, and while scrutinising myself and pulling faces in the mirror, realised I had very odd coloured eyes. I usually just say "my eyes are hazel", but then people get confused because they look closer and they're like, "Deanna, are you aware that half of one of your eyes is blue?"

I remember when i first got my camera i went through this phase where I was taking heaps of close up pictures of all my family members eyes... everyone in my family has either these intense blue eyes, or like darkdark chocolate brown eyes. no idea what happened to me!

Date: 2012-01-15 12:23 pm (UTC)the only interesting thing i can say about my eyes is that they change colour depending on what i am wearing.
That's so cool! I had a friend with eyes like that in high school.

Date: 2012-01-16 12:30 am (UTC)And yeah, that's what I have. Well, that's what my science teacher told me that I have. She made me cry once (cue rambling on here) during a lesson because we were talking about genetics and she used me as an example. And at the time, in high school my eyes were green. So she was like "what colour are your mother's eyes?" and I said "BLUE. And my dad's eyes are blue too." And the in front of EVERYONE, she goes "Well, one of your parents must not be your real parents then." Because, you know. If you have parents with blue eyes you yourself HAVE to have blue eyes. Stupid woman.
And I remember I just started crying because who the fuck says that to a thirteen year old? /babble

Date: 2012-01-16 04:49 am (UTC)The photos are amazing :) If you start running out of ideas, I suggest going crazy with macro and exploring different textures. I've very fascinated with the lantern picture for that very reason hahaha

Date: 2012-01-16 05:56 am (UTC)Thanks for the tips! I think a lot of it has to do with me being stuck at home. I'm getting sick of taking photos in my house! Hopefully when I start school in the city, I'll get some more exciting stuff. It would be cool to do a themed week or something.
I like the lantern picture too! I showed my mum this batch, and she said that one was her favourite :)
